Over the last several months Digital Mapping Consultants has partnered with the drone program at the University of Massachusetts: Amherst, UMassAIR.
Together we have been monitoring tide flows and vegetation health at key salt marsh sites along the coast of Massachusetts.
We are pushing the boundaries of drone-based data collection by combining multiple sensors onto the DJI Matrice600 drone platform. We are experimenting with the feasibility of combining short-wave-infrared (SWIR) images with true-color and near-infrared red-edge data to collect a stunning amount of useful information from one single drone flight!
This has been a great opportunity to train on industry-specific technology and expand the capabilities of Digital Mapping Consultants.
